Burnley manager Eddie Howe distances himself from a return to League One club Bournemouth.

Manager Eddie Howe has insisted that he still has work to do at Burnley, despite being linked with a return to Bournemouth following the sacking of Paul Groves.

The 34-year-old spent two years as Bournemouth manager before leaving for Burnley, but he has insisted that he does want to comment on what he describes as a "Bournemouth story".

Howe said: "This is a Bournemouth story and not one that I feel that I should comment on.

"I am Burnley manager. I still feel like we are trying to move forward and there is a lot of work to do here."

Burnley are currently 15th in the Championship table.
