Sean Dyche does not regret lack of Burnley spending

Burnley boss Sean Dyche says that he does not regret the amount of money spent on the team this season.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has stated that he does not regret spending more money to improve his side this season.

The Clarets, who won promotion from the Championship last season, opted to largely keep faith with the same group of players that got them out of the second tier.

Despite sitting bottom of the Premier League with three games to go, Dyche says that he would still not change his group of players.

"Outside help through finance, if there was finance available, would obviously have supported the group," the Burnley boss told talkSPORT.

"But I did say early in the season - and I said again in the transfer window - that a couple of million here or there, at this level, doesn't really affect you.

"Our challenge is to bring in players who are better than the ones we've got. Last season we went up with a record points total, with more points than the leaders this year, so they are a fair group of players. If you want to better them and you go back into that market in the Championship and trust me those fees are massive."

Burnley travel to Hull City on Saturday.
