Ipswich Town hit the post and enjoy a positive opening 45 minutes against Cardiff City, with the two sides deadlocked at the interval

Championship leaders Cardiff City are being held by Ipswich Town at the break, with the visitors coming closest to breaking the deadlock

Cardiff enjoyed the majority of possession in the early stages but were unable to create any clear-cut opportunities for strike duo Rudy Gestede and Craig Bellamy.

Ipswich had the first meaningful shot after 15 minutes when Guirane N'Daw struck the post with a stinging drive from distance.

Malky Mackay's side registered a chance just before the break through Peter Whittingham, who whipped a free kick wide of the near post on his return from injury.
