Cardiff City midfielder Peter Whittingham returns from injury to face Ipswich Town, while the Tractor Boys hand league debuts to David McGoldrick and Aaron McLean.

Cardiff City midfielder Peter Whittingham has recovered from a knee injury to be named in the starting XI for this afternoon's match against Ipswich Town.

Whittingham returns for the league leaders, with Rudy Gestede and Craig Bellamy leading the line for Malky Mackay's side.

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy hands David McGoldrick his league debut in a new-look attack which also features a first start for loan signing Aaron McLean.

Midweek signing Frank Nouble has to settle for a place on the bench while Carlos Edwards is handed a return to the starting lineup.
