Stuart O'Keefe: 'Ian Holloway wanted to sign me for Millwall'

New Cardiff City midfielder Stuart O'Keefe reveals that Millwall were one of the other clubs interested in signing him from Crystal Palace in the transfer window.

Cardiff City new boy Stuart O'Keefe has claimed that fellow Championship club Millwall were interested in signing him from Crystal Palace during the recent transfer window.

O'Keefe, 23, put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Bluebirds last week after the two clubs had agreed an undisclosed fee.

In an interview with Sports Mole, O'Keefe named Millwall as one of the other clubs interested in his services.

"There were a couple of other clubs interested. Millwall were one of those, but Cardiff was the one that stuck out for me and I was happy to get it over the line," he said.

"It is a massive club with a lot of potential, good facilities, nice stadium, so I was keen to go there."

O'Keefe made his Bluebirds debut as a starter in Saturday's 2-0 loss at home to high-flying Derby County - Cardiff's fourth defeat in a row.
