Preview: Cardiff City vs. Sunderland

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Premier League match between Cardiff City and Sunderland.

The Premier League's bottom side Sunderland face a trip to Cardiff City this weekend as they look to move up the table.

The Black Cats should have John O'Shea available despite the defender's struggles with a shoulder injury.

However, Carlos Cuellar is still several weeks away from a return and goalkeeper Keiren Westwood will miss out with a shoulder problem, while Wes Brown is suspended.

Gus Poyet's men are without a win away from home this season and have lost five of their eight away games so far.

Malky Mackay's only injury concern is Craig Bellamy, who has been struggling in recent weeks with an ongoing knee complaint.

Cardiff have won just one of their last seven games, but their home form has been strong since their promotion from the Championship, with just one of their last four games at the Cardiff City Stadium ending in defeat.

The two sides have never met in the Premier League before, but Cardiff won three of their four meetings while they were both in the second tier.
