Cardiff City and Watford shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in the Championship on Monday.
The home side had the first real chance of the afternoon courtesy of Ben Turner after five minutes but he headed wide, before Craig Conway struck wide from distance moments later.
The away side struggled for chances in the opening period and they were struck with a killer blow on the stroke of the interval when Kenny Miller headed home after good work from Don Cowie.
Prince Buaben led the Watford charge in the second period and might have scored with an effort after 55 minutes, but Liam Lawrence produced the block.
Cardiff came close to adding to the score through Peter Whittingham after 70 minutes, but Watford found themselves level in the match when Nyron Nosworthy struck from close range with 10 minutes remaining.
Cowie might have won it with the last kick of the match but it wasn't to be, as the pair shared the points.
The result leaves Cardiff in sixth spot in the Championship, while Watford sit 13th.
