Cardiff City are reportedly poised to make a £3m swoop to bring Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley back, three years after he left.

Cardiff City are reportedly planning a £3m swoop to bring Joe Ledley back from Celtic.

The 26-year-old left the Bluebirds in 2010 on a free transfer to join the Bhoys and has won two Scottish Premier League titles in his three years at the club.

However, Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is determined to bring back the Wales international to his hometown club and is prepared to offer £3m for the midfielder along with a substantial wage package, reports The Mirror.

Celtic have already lost Gary Hooper and Victor Wanyama to Premier League sides Norwich City and Southampton respectively this summer.
