Neil Lennon refuses to make a big deal out of Kris Commons' recent comments about his being dropped from the squad.

Neil Lennon has revealed that he will not make a big deal of Kris Commons questioning on Twitter why he was left out the Celtic squad which lost to Rangers on Sunday.

However, the manager has confessed that he would rather the midfielder had kept his feelings on the matter "in-house".

"He is obviously frustrated he was left out of the squad and I accept that but won't make a massive issue of that," the boss told a press conference.

"I'd have preferred it to be kept in-house, but this is the modern way of it, social networking seems to be the way forward."

Commons' original post on Sunday read: "Was fit and available for selection. Don't know why I wasn't picked but gotta work hard to get back in!!!"

The 28-year-old joined the Bhoys during the January transfer window from Derby County.
