Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes says that the London club "will be watching and also monitoring closely" Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has admitted that he is "very aware" of Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng.

The 23-year-old South Korean international had been linked with a move to Loftus Road prior to the arrival of his compatriot Park Ji-Sung.

Fernandes said: "Ki is a very good player and we are very aware of him.

"He is a player we will be watching and also monitoring closely."

Ki scored six SPL goals last season as Celtic were crowned champions of Scotland for the first time in four years.
