Left-back Joshua Rose also scored his first goal for the home side in the last 10 minutes to secure all three points.
Awer Mabil broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark, after spinning in the box and then getting a deflection to take it past Central Coast's Liam Reddy.
The loss represents the fifth this season for the Reds, who led for the majority of the match.
The win is only Mariners' third of the season and keeps them in eighth.
