Antonio Conte: 'Antonio Rudiger could be fit for Barcelona clash'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reveals that Antonio Rudiger could be fit for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Barcelona, despite missing the win over Crystal Palace.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has refused to rule Antonio Rudiger out of Wednesday's Champions League last-16 second leg against Barcelona.

Rudiger missed Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge this evening due to a muscle problem which he picked up during the week.

However, Conte revealed that it is not a serious injury and confirmed that the centre-back could be in line to make a quick return for the midweek trip to Camp Nou.

"Maybe on Wednesday he had a little injury, but there is the possibility to recover to be in contention for the Barcelona game. It was muscular fatigue, not a strain," Conte told reporters at his post-match press conference.

Chelsea will travel to Camp Nou needing either a win or a score draw to keep their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals alive.
