Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea will be better next season'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that Chelsea will be "better" in the Champions League next season.

Jose Mourinho has said that Chelsea will be "better" in the Champions League next season after being knocked out in the semi-finals this evening.

The Premier League side lost 3-1 at Stamford Bridge to La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid, who will now face local rivals Real Madrid in the final.

The manager told Sky Sports News: "Next season will be better than this season, that's our objective, the objective of everybody. Our young players will be better, hopefully we will have a couple of players to improve our team and we will try to do better next season.

"I can't be critical of a group of players who are trying everything. We have problems with injuries, suspensions and players who can't play in the Champions League."

The final takes place in Portugal next month.
