Chelsea winger Willian has insisted that the Blues always believed that they could progress past Paris Saint-Germain to qualify for the Champions League semi-finals.
The Blues faced a tough ask at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday after they fell to a 3-1 defeat during the first leg in France last week.
However, goals from Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba saw Chelsea move through to the last four on the away goals rule, and Willian was delighted with the team's result in West London.
The 25-year-old is quoted by UEFA.com as saying: "The whole squad is happy. It was tough but we managed to qualify. We planned well for the game and knew that we could score two goals; Jose Mourinho prepared us well.
"We were determined to defend well and stop them playing in midfield. They have a great team, but we were playing at home and have a strong side.
"We knew that it would be difficult after the first leg, but with the quality we have, we always believed that we could do it."
The Brazilian international has made nine European appearances for Chelsea this season.
