Half-Time Report: Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Ramires scores the only goal of the half to give Chelsea a 1-0 advantage over Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

An 11th-minute strike from Ramires has moved Chelsea a step closer to securing the seventh FA Cup in the club's history as they hold a 1-0 lead over Liverpool at Wembley Stadium.

Following a positive start for the Blues, Juan Mata played in Ramires, who instantly skipped away from Jose Enrique. The Brazilian continued into the box before guiding the ball inside Pepe Reina's near post, despite the Spaniard getting his foot to the ball.

Liverpool's response was instant, with Craig Bellamy sending the ball past Petr Cech. However, Branislav Ivanovic retreated onto the line to hack away the Welshman's shot.

Chelsea controlled the remainder of the half in terms of possession, but they were unable to create any goalscoring chance of note.

Up the other end, Luis Suarez headed a Stewart Downing cross harmlessly wide of the target.
