Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink: 'FA Cup is important, but we won't undervalue PL'

Guus Hiddink insists that the FA Cup is "important" to Chelsea ahead of tomorrow's quarter-final against Everton, but they will not "undervalue" the Premier League.

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has insisted that the FA Cup is "important" to the club, but they will not "undervalue" the Premier League.

The Blues, who have won the cup seven times, will take on Everton in the quarter-finals at Goodison Park on Saturday.

In the Premier League, Hiddink has guided the team to 10th in the table after he took over from Jose Mourinho in December, when the reigning champions were lingering near the relegation zone.

"Obviously [the FA Cup is] a very important cup to go for but I don't want to undervalue the Premier League," Hiddink told reporters.

"We've managed to come out from being near the relegation zone in December to 10th position, although it might be very difficult to get into the [European] qualifying positions.

"We are now facing a beautiful contest against Everton and we will go for that at the moment. It's an important competition and it gets a lot of attention worldwide."

Chelsea have lost just twice in 16 games under Hiddink.
