Head coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested that Chelsea's current injury list ahead of Wednesday's FA Cup tie against Luton Town is 'too big to comment about it'.
Chelsea went into the EFL Cup final with Ben Chilwell, Andreas Christensen and Hakim Ziyech all ruled out through injury, and Cesar Azpilicueta sustained a problem during the second half of the game at Wembley Stadium.
Tuchel has revealed that Reece James, who made his first outing in two months after a hamstring injury, was one of numerous players who were 'in physical overload' after extra time was required against Liverpool.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "James has a huge overload on his shoulders. The recommendation was 20 minutes, and it was over 70 minutes in a final with extra pressure, extra tension against Liverpool.
"So, the situation was very good before the match, and the situation has changed dramatically from this match. We now have a lot of players in physical overload and we have some physical injuries from the match.
"In the moment, it is too much to comment about it. It would be a long list. The physios and doctors are still working with the players, finding out, and we can taken the last decision tomorrow morning."
Following the Luton game, Chelsea are scheduled to travel to Burnley for a 3.00pm kickoff in the Premier League.
