Chelsea boss Antonio Conte confirms that Alvaro Morata is available for Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that Alvaro Morata is set to return for Saturday's Premier League clash with Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

Morata missed his team's 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night due to a back problem, and it had been thought that the Spain international would also be absent for the clash with the Saints.

Conte has revealed that the striker's injury is still causing him pain, but the Italian expects to have his leading scorer available for this weekend's Premier League clash.

"It is better. He trained with us two days ago, yesterday and today. He is this pain in his back but he's in contention for tomorrow's game," Conte told reporters.

Morata has scored 10 times and provided four assists in 22 appearances in all competitions this season.
