Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata believes that his side showed their "desire" against Leeds United in the League Cup on Wednesday.
The Blues defeated the Championship side 5-1 at Elland Road to book their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
"It is tough to play against a team like Leeds," BBC Sport quotes the Spaniard as saying.
"Maybe we did not have enough time to rest but we showed the desire to win the trophy in the second half. It is a difficult stadium to play in, they have a physical team."
Chelsea will take on Swansea City for a place in the final.
