Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly considering dismissing manager Roberto Di Matteo before the summer and launching a move for former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly desperate for Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to move to Stamford Bridge if current boss Roberto Di Matteo is sacked.

Increasing pressure has been mounted on Di Matteo's shoulders in recent weeks as the Blues are in danger of dropping out of the Champions League, which they won last season, if they fail to get a result against Juventus this evening.

It is understood that Chelsea's Russian owner will try to convince Guardiola to end his 12-month sabbatical early and take over the Premier League outfit before the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Reports have claimed that Guardiola, who is spending the year in New York with his family, has expressed interest in joining Chelsea at some point in his career.
