Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa has distanced himself from rumours linking the Argentinian with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The 56-year-old has been speculated to replace Andre Villas-Boas, who was dismissed by the club last Sunday after just nine months at the helm.
"As a rule of thumb, I don't deal in hypotheses," said Bielsa. "I prefer to talk about real situations and [the Chelsea job] is just hypothetical."
The South American coach has become a new contender for the full-time position due to his attractive style of play with his Spanish side.
