Chelsea's first-team squad and coaching staff would reportedly welcome the return of Frank Lampard as manager if Maurizio Sarri decides to join Juventus.
Sarri has just guided Chelsea to a third-placed finish in the Premier League and the Europa League trophy, although it appears likely that the Italian will link up with the Serie A champions this summer.
Lampard has been suggested as a potential replacement for Sarri, having almost led Derby County to promotion from the Championship in his first year in the dugout.
According to journalist Dean Jones, Chelsea's playing staff have been left wanting to see the former midfielder return to Stamford Bridge.
However, it has been suggested that there remains doubt in the club's boardroom as some officials allegedly deem the appointment of the 40-year-old a risk.
Lampard still has two years left on his contract at Derby.
