Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly agrees to let six players leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is believed to be willing to sell six of the Blues' senior players in order to rejuvenate the side.

The ex-Porto boss has been backed by owner Roman Abramovich to sell Salomon Kalou, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Jose Bosingwa, Paulo Ferreira and Alex, according to the Daily Mail.

Anelka and defender teammate Alex are believed to have had transfer requests accepted, which subsequently caused Villas-Boas to make the duo train separately from the rest of the squad.

It is thought that former Liverpool forward Anelka is poised to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in January.
