Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who has been on loan at Atletico Madrid since 2011, has admitted that he feels no emotional connection to his parent club.
Courtois, who is to discuss his future with the Blues next week, said that he feels like an Atletico player because the only time he has spent at Chelsea has been for a medical.
"The fans and the other players at Atletico don't see me as a player out on loan," The Mirror quotes Courtois as saying.
"At Chelsea I have no emotional connection. They signed me up in 2011 for £7.3m. Since then I've gone to London only for the medical check.
"Already last year Chelsea no longer wanted to loan. But I wanted to stay in Madrid. After this season, it all goes back over again, and it is probably even more difficult to make a decision."
Courtois played both legs against Chelsea in Atletico's semi-final win in the Champions League.
