Samuel Eto'o replaced by former Jose Mourinho assistant at Antalyaspor

Former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o is replaced as coach at Turkish side Antalyaspor by Jose Mourinho's former assistant Jose Morais.

Former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has been replaced by Jose Mourinho's former assistant Jose Morais as coach of Turkish side Antalyaspor.

Eto'o had been named in an interim player-coach role early last month after the club's manager Yusuf Simsek left by mutual consent.

The former Cameroon international won his first two games in charge but then lost two and drew one of his next three.

The 34-year-old has now been replaced at the helm by Morais, although he will continue in his role as a player with the club.

Morais, who had been linked with the vacant managerial post at Swansea City, previously worked with Eto'o when he was Mourinho's assistant at Inter Milan, helping the Italian giants to the treble.

The Portuguese also worked under his compatriot at Real Madrid and Chelsea until their time at the latter came to an end in December.
