Frank Lampard hoping for strong run

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard hopes that his side can go on a strong run after an impressive 3-0 win over West Ham United at Upton Park.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has urged his side to go on a strong run after an impressive 3-0 win at West Ham United.

The 35-year-old scored twice against his old club as Chelsea got back on track after dropping points in recent weeks.

"It was enjoyable because from the first minute we were on it," Lampard told Chelsea TV. "We haven't done it well enough away from home this season and having lost some silly points in the last two games we were very up for it.#

"It was a very complete performance. We caused them loads of problems. We knew exactly what we needed to do and when we do it like that we're going to win a lot more games than we don't win.

"It's really important now we go on a run and carry on with that form, whether we're home or away."

Chelsea travel to Basel for a Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
