Frank Lampard not thinking about retirement

Chelsea ace Frank Lampard reveals that he has no intention of retiring and believes that he has as long as three years left in him.

Chelsea ace Frank Lampard has revealed that he has no intention of retiring and believes that he has as long as three years left in him.

The veteran midfielder scored his 171st Premier League goal in the 3-0 win over Stoke City this evening to move joint-fourth with Wayne Rooney in the division's all-time goalscoring list.

However, with the England international set to turn 36 in June, speculation has once again mounted over his long-term future in the game, but Lampard insists that he has no plans to call time on his illustrious career yet.

"I'm enjoying playing at the moment and being one of the older heads," he told reporters at full time.

"I want to keep playing for another two or three years and as long as I can contribute. It's different when you get older and you have to stay sharper."

Mohamad Salah opened the scoring in the rout of the Potters, while Willian added the third on 72 minutes as the Blues replaced Liverpool at the top of the table.
