Lille president Michel Seydoux says that former player Eden Hazard will replace Lionel Messi at Barcelona one day.

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is destined to move to Barcelona and replace Lionel Messi, according to Lille president Michel Seydoux.

The Belgian international completed a £32m move from the French outfit to Stamford Bridge in the summer after being linked with Europe's elite.

However, Seydoux believes that the 21-year-old will eventually leave the Blues and end up starring at the Nou Camp.

"I made a bet with people," Seydoux told L'Equipe.

"The bet was that Hazard would play for Barcelona. He is a phenomenon and one day he will replace Lionel Messi in the Barca team.

"I am convinced of that."

Hazard's Chelsea take on Juventus in Group E of the Champions League on Wednesday night.
