Maurizio Sarri asks to leave Chelsea?

Head coach Maurizio Sarri reportedly tells Chelsea that he wishes to leave the club this summer.

Maurizio Sarri has reportedly told Chelsea that he wishes to leave the club.

Sarri has just reached the end of his first campaign at Stamford Bridge, guiding the Blues to the Europa League and a third-place finish in the Premier League standings.

However, there has been constant speculation regarding the Italian's future, with Juventus recently being linked with an approach for the 60-year-old.

Sarri has suggested that he is open to remaining at Chelsea, but Sky in Italy claims that the head coach has requested an exit from the West Londoners.

The report says that Sarri has held discussions with director Marina Granovskaia, which has resulted in the former Napoli man asking to leave Chelsea after less than a year in charge.

Sarri still has two years left on his contract.
