Jose Mourinho hails Premier League strength

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that the Premier League will be more competitive than ever this season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that the Premier League is stronger now than during his previous time with the club.

The Portuguese coach led the Blues to two league titles in his first spell with the club, but he believes that there is more competition than ever for places in the top four this season.

"In England it is even stronger now than in my first period," The Mirror quotes him as saying. "Even more now because when I first came Man City didn't have this financial situation they have now.

"Even Tottenham at this moment, all the top five or six. In this moment can you tell me who is going to win the Premier League?

"You can't tell me. You can try to tell me but can you say which one of the top five is going to be outside the Champions League? You can't say. This is what I want."

Mourinho returned to Chelsea from Real Madrid last summer and led the club to a third-place finish in the Premier League.
