Manuel Pellegrini "not thinking about Chelsea"

Manuel Pellegrini says that Manchester City will focus on winning all of their remaining fixtures in order to keep the pressure alive on Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he is not concerned by Chelsea's results and will instead focus solely on his own side's performances.

The Citizens remain five points behind the current Premier League leaders having played one game more in the race for the title.

Last night's 2-0 victory over Leicester City ensured that City maintained the pressure on their rivals at the top, although Chelsea showed no signs of slipping up as they prevailed 1-0 against West Ham United.

"I'm not thinking about Chelsea," the Chilean is quoted as saying by FIFA.com. "We must think about our team and try to win our games. We can't do anything about what Chelsea do.

"It's important to try to improve our performances, try to win our games and see at the end of the season whether Chelsea dropped the points or didn't drop the points. But I'm not thinking about that."

Next up for Man City is a trip to face Burnley a week on Saturday.
