Chelsea striker Fernando Torres claims that the squad is "looking great" ahead of the new Premier League season.

Fernando Torres has claimed that Chelsea are "looking great" ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The Blues are currently on a pre-season tour of the USA before their opening fixture at home to Hull City on August 18.

"Everyone is giving everything to be in the manager's plans," Sky Sports News quotes Torres as saying.

"From the first day until now training has been great, high intensity, very fun, and so you are working hard, but using the ball in every exercise, so it's very good.

"Everyone is playing well, the manager is mixing everybody well, making everyone sharp for competition. We only have two more games until the first Premier League game, and so far everyone is looking great."

Chelsea return to action on Thursday when they face Real Madrid in Miami.
