Kurt Zouma: 'Radamel Falcao is a really good striker'

Chelsea centre-back Kurt Zouma is quick to praise the qualities of incoming striker Radamel Falcao, who recently joined the club on a season-long loan from AS Monaco.

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has talked up the striking capabilities of new teammate Radamel Falcao.

Falcao recently made a temporary switch to Stamford Bridge on loan after enduring a difficult spell at Manchester United, but Zouma has been quick to praise the frontman's qualities, as well as those of new goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

"Mr Begovic is a really nice keeper like Petr Cech, like Thibaut Courtois. So in Chelsea we have too many good keepers," said Zouma, according to The Express.

"And Falcao, I have played against him twice and he is a really good striker. He likes to score goals. His target is only to score goals and he scores well.

"When you play for Chelsea, you have to be ready for every game and we know that the competition will be hard because that is normal in a big club. Always there is big competition. But everyone is friendly guys and we want to do it for the club."

Chelsea won the Premier League title last year having amassed 87 points from 38 games.
