Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes hopes that John Terry will be dropped for the upcoming game at Stamford Bridge.
The England international is currently awaiting trial for allegedly racially abusing R's defender Anton Ferdinand during the reverse fixture in October.
The two teams meet on Sunday with QPR battling to avoid relegation and Chelsea aiming for Champions League qualification.
When asked if his players would shake the former England captain's hand, Hughes replied: "I've not looked that far ahead. He's got a busy week, perhaps he won't play. Let's hope so."
The traditional pre-match handshake was scrapped when the two sides met in the FA Cup in January.
