Gareth Bale is passed fit to start Tottenham Hotspur's match against Chelsea at White Hart Lane.

Gareth Bale has been passed fit to start Tottenham Hotspur's match against Chelsea.

The Welshman had been rated as 50/50 for the match at White Hart Lane with an ankle problem.

Ledley King has also been given a place in the starting lineup, while Emmanuel Adebayor starts up front.

Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe miss out on the match through injury.

Meanwhile, John Terry captains Chelsea after he was charged by the CPS on Wednesday over an alleged racist incident involving QPR's Anton Ferdinand.

Didier Drogba, Juan Mata and Daniel Sturridge begin in attack for the Blues, with Fernando Torres on the bench. Frank Lampard has also failed to make the starting lineup.
