Barcelona are reportedly considering making a loan approach for Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.

The Catalan giants currently sit five points clear at the top of the La Liga standings, while 50 goals have been scored from 18 matches.

However, according to Sport, Barcelona may look to bring in a new striker during the January transfer window and are interested in a loan deal for Morata.

The former Real Madrid man is being heavily linked with a return to Spain, and both Sevilla and Atletico Madrid have been suggested as potential destinations for the 26-year-old.

Morata has scored nine goals for Chelsea in all competitions this season, but the Blues are happy to give the green light to an exit providing that they can find a replacement.
