Bayern Munich have reportedly decided to firm up their interest in Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi by making an opening offer of £13m.
Hudson-Odoi is regarded as one of the top prospects in English football, but the 18-year-old has been restricted to two starts and three substitute appearances during the current campaign.
The winger has just over 18 months remaining on his contract, and it has resulted in widespread interest from elsewhere with clubs in Germany known to be keen on securing the services of the player.
According to the Daily Mail, Bayern are prepared to make a £13m bid for Hudson-Odoi at the beginning of 2019, although it appears unlikely that Chelsea will entertain the offer.
The report suggests that Chelsea would want to include a buy-back clause in any potential sale, but Hudson-Odoi may be required at Stamford Bridge over the coming months due to the first-team's hectic schedule.
Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring the situation.
