Rafael Benitez: 'Chelsea might dip into transfer market'

Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez hints that the club are planning to sign a number of players in next month's transfer window.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has revealed that the club are working towards bringing in new faces to the club in next month's transfer window.

The Champions League winners, who were knocked out of the tournament last week, have been linked to the likes of Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote, Everton star Marouane Fellaini and Corinthians' Paulinho.

"The club is working and always looking for good players, so we'll see if there are any surprises," The Independent quotes Benitez as saying.

The Blues go up against Monterrey in the semi-final of the Club World Cup in Japan tomorrow.
