Chelsea considering Marco van Ginkel recall?

Chelsea are reportedly unhappy with AC Milan over their failure to play Marco van Ginkel and are preparing to recall him from his loan stint at the San Siro.

Chelsea have reportedly given consideration to the prospect of recalling Marco van Ginkel from his loan spell with AC Milan.

The Dutch playmaker joined the Serie A outfit in the summer and he was expected to spend the entire campaign at the San Siro.

However, he has featured in just one match for the Rossoneri, which has infuriated the Blues, who sanctioned the 21-year-old's switch to Italy with the understanding that he would get regular starting action, according to the London Evening Standard.

When recently asked about his client's situation, agent Karel Jansen hinted that Chelsea are prepared to cut the stint short.

"We made it clear that this was not the intention when he joined on loan. Marco did not have to go to Italy and do nothing. Look, if he wasn't very good, this treatment was understandable but a fit Van Ginkel would walk into the Milan side," he said.

"Chelsea have not pulled the plug but they might if the current situation continues."

Van Ginkel signed for Chelsea in 2013, but a serious knee injury limited him to just four appearances last term.
