Chelsea deal for Joao Cancelo imminent?

Chelsea are reportedly close to completing a £25m deal for Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo.

Chelsea could reportedly wrap up a deal for Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo in the coming hours.

The Premier League champions have signed just four players so far this summer - albeit for a combined £127.5m - while selling Nemanja Matic to rivals Manchester United and making Diego Costa available for transfer.

Blues manager Antonio Conte has expressed his disappointment at the club's transfer business so far this summer and has also outlined a desire to sign several top targets before the window closes at the end of the month.

According to Don Balon, the first of Conte's targets is set to be announced imminently, with Cancelo in the frame to join the side in a £25m deal.

The Portugal international signed for Los Che two years ago and was a virtual ever-present last season, making 35 La Liga appearances and contributing one goal.

Other targets for Conte are thought to include Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose and Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
