Real Madrid have reportedly included two Chelsea players on a three-man shortlist of defensive targets for the summer transfer window.
Los Blancos are expected to spend big on attacking reinforcements this year amid reports that they could move for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland.
As a result, they are keeping an eye out for potential free transfers to bolster their defence in the summer, similar to how they snapped up David Alaba from Bayern Munich at the end of his contract last year.
Defensa Central claims that the Spanish giants have identified Chelsea duo Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta as two players who fit the bill, with both currently due to be out of contract at Stamford Bridge on June 30.
Bayern Munich's Niklas Sule is also on Madrid's radar, with the report suggesting that he is the most likely to end up at the Bernabeu.
Sule is widely expected to leave the Allianz Arena when his deal expires in the summer, although he has been linked with a host of other clubs around Europe too.
The report adds that Madrid could look to offload Jesus Vallejo in order to make room for any new defensive arrival.
