Atletico Madrid have allegedly offered striker Diego Costa to Chelsea as part of a swap deal that would see Thibaut Courtois remain at the club on a permanent basis.
The Belgian stopper is currently on loan in Madrid, and high-level talks have taken place between the clubs regarding his future, according to the Daily Star.
Atletico are said to have placed two offers on the table - one comprising a £16m payment plus Spanish youngster Koke, and the other a payment of £8m plus Costa.
Costa, who has a £32m buy-out clause in his contract, is a long-term Chelsea target with Blues boss Jose Mourinho searching for a prolific goalscorer to boost his attacking options.
Courtois is under contract with Chelsea until 2019, but is said to be frustrated at the prospect of serving as Petr Cech's understudy when he returns to Stamford Bridge.
