Chelsea, Real Madrid and Roma reportedly reignite their interest in Ajax full-back Gregory van der Wiel after the player's move to Valencia breaks down.

Chelsea are likely to face competition from Real Madrid and Roma in their pursuit of Gregory van der Wiel.

The 24-year-old was poised to join Valencia but prolonged talks have now broken down.

Van der Wiel is still expected to depart the Amsterdam Arena in the summer and Chelsea are known to be long-term admirers of the Dutchman.

The Blues will face strong competition from Real Madrid and Roma for the player's signature, according to talkSPORT.

An attacking right-back, Van der Wiel has scored three goals in 25 Ajax appearances this season.
