Chelsea goalkeeper Thibault Courtois says that he wants to stay on loan at Atletico Madrid next season.

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibault Courtois has revealed that he would like to extend his stay with the club.

The Belgian stopper is currently on loan from Chelsea, but says that he does not want to return to Stamford Bridge next season.

"If I can, I want to stay [at Atletico]," Courtois is reported as saying in The Mirror.

"I am happy, I like my life here and my teammates. It is not just my decision, Chelsea and Atletico also have to talk. But everyone knows I like it here."

The keeper has not played for Chelsea since signing for them in June 2011.
