Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is reportedly planning to reject a return to Chelsea because he is 'desperate' to join Barcelona.
The Belgium international has been on loan from Chelsea at the Vicente Calderon for the last three seasons, but his long-term future remains unclear.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Courtois's camp are in regular contact with the Catalan giants because the shot-stopper is tired of being constantly loaned out by Chelsea.
The report has also claimed that the 22-year-old, who is under contract at Chelsea until 2016, will reject a new deal from the Blues.
However, it is believed that Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is keen to push through young keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen at Camp Nou following the departure of Victor Valdes.
