Kevin de Bruyne decides against Chelsea return with Jose Mourinho in charge

Wolfsburg star Kevin de Bruyne rules out returning to Chelsea while Jose Mourinho is in charge.

Wolfsburg star Kevin de Bruyne has ruled out returning to Chelsea while manager Jose Mourinho is in charge.

The Belgium international was sold by the Blues last year after he was handed limited first-team minutes by Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Since then, the 23-year-old has gone from strength to strength and has reportedly attracted the interest of former Premier League champions Manchester City.

With regards to his future, De Bruyne has hinted that he is open to moving back to England, but is also interested in playing in La Liga.

"I think, to be honest, I would not return to Chelsea as long as [Mourinho] is in charge," De Bruyne told Bild.

"I know that I like the Bundesliga, and it always did me good, but I don't fear to return to England or to play in Spain. I believe I can make it there."

The Belgian has been rated at around £35m.
