Chelsea defender and Schalke 04 loanee Baba Rahman is believed to be a January transfer target for Fiorentina.

Chelsea defender Baba Rahman has emerged as a transfer target for Fiorentina, according to a report.

The 23-year-old joined the Blues from Augsburg in 2015 but played just 15 games for the Premier League club.

Now back in the Bundesliga on loan at Schalke 04, Rahman has so far made 13 appearances for the Gelsenkirchen outfit.

According to Italian outlet La Nazione, Fiorentina are considering a move for the Ghana international in January should Schalke decide to cut his loan short.

Rahman, who has 26 caps for the Black Stars, is contracted to Chelsea until 2020.
