Chelsea have reportedly put talks over Conor Gallagher's future on hold following the club's recent financial losses.
The club's accounts for 2022-23 revealed a loss of £90.1m, which was lower than the recorded figure of £121.4m for 2021-22.
However, having reported losses of £211.5m across the last two seasons, Chelsea have their work cut out to stay within the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules.
Under the top-flight's financial regulations, Chelsea cannot post a loss in excess of £105m across a three-season period.
According to Football Insider, Chelsea's latest accounts have had an impact on prospective contract talks with Gallagher.

The report claims contract discussions have been put on the backburner, with the Blues unable to discuss an improved deal due to their financial losses.
Instead of agreeing a new contract with Gallagher, Chelsea are now believed to be considering the possibility of selling the England international.
There is a belief that the Blues will have to sanction sales before June 30 if they are to avoid falling foul of the Profit and Sustainability regulations.
As a graduate of Chelsea's academy, Gallagher is one of the players who could be offloaded to generate pure profit and help improve the club's financial situation.

Tottenham Hotspur have previously been linked with the 24-year-old, and they may renew their interest if Chelsea decide to listen to offers in the summer.
However, Gallagher is still keen to remain with Mauricio Pochettino's side despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Gallagher, whose current deal runs until June 2025, has been a prominent figure in the Chelsea side this season, having scored four goals and provided six assists in 36 competitive appearances.
Pochettino has revealed that Gallagher is a doubt for Monday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United due to a virus.
