Frank Lampard has revealed that Olivier Giroud will remain at Chelsea for the rest of the season.
Having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Giroud has been keen to leave the Blues in order to earn first-team football ahead of Euro 2020.
With less than six months remaining on the 33-year-old's contract, Lampard has acknowledged that he would be open to parting ways with the veteran, providing that he is able to find a replacement.
However, despite speculation regarding a move for Napoli's Dries Mertens, it appears that there will be no major arrivals of departures before Friday's deadline.
At a press conference, Lampard told reporters that the transfer window was "95% shut" for Chelsea, as well as rejecting the suggestion that Giroud could be allowed to leave in the coming hours.
Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur had been regarded as the frontrunners for the France international.
