Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis confirms that Chelsea are interested in poaching striker Edinson Cavani this summer.

Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Chelsea are interested in signing striker Edinson Cavani this summer.

The Uruguay international is said to be a target for the Blues, as well as former Premier League champions Manchester City, who have bolstered their squad with the signing of Fernandinho from Shakhtar Donetsk.

"Chelsea want Cavani," De Laurentiis told Radio Marte. "[The] Blues will call me in the next hours about it. If Edinson stays in Napoli I will be happy. If he goes, we'll replace him using the £53.5m from his sale."

Cavani has 102 goals to his name over three seasons with the Italian outfit.
